There is a misconceptions in our society about weight and depression. Person who is suffering from depression or excessive stress due to certain issue and facing weight gain ridiculed by the family/friends/society (Itni moti horahi ho tw kis baat ka depression? Depression hota tw weight barhta nhe Kum hota hai) . They think weight gain is a sign of happiness. These type of shit you hear. Our uneducated society only knows the one side of the story that stress only cause weight loss. But in reality depression can affect in both ways either you lose weight or gain weight. Excessive stress increases stress hormone cortisol and you start over eating. Excessive stress also mess with your hormones which leads to hormonal imbalance and which is one of the cause of weight gain.
So please stop making judgements about people and their appearance. Weight gain is not a sign of happiness at all. If someone open up to you about their problems simply help them out instead of making judgements and make fun of them.
