Life without goal is just like a body without soul. What a powerful statement it is but people are not aware and have no idea about its important. As we know, now a days life become miserable for everyone. Everyone is battling with their own hardships,demons and their mental health is affected badly. Everyday we hear news about suicide at different part of the world. As people become more concerned about their metal health and social media as always play very big role in spreading awareness about everything. Everyone is sharing post on social media about mental health, counselors, Psychologist and trying to convince the world that mental health exist and we must accept it.
But unfortunately, despite of having all knowledge about mental health and reading post, articles on Mental health some people are still unable to cope up with their demons.
As we can see people in our surroundings who only complaint about their problems, sufferings and heart break but they are not willing to get out of their situation. They sometimes only wants attention nothing else.
If I talk about myself I have been always curious to know about what is the thing which stops people to get out of painful and traumatizing period of their life ?why they are unable to get of it to their whole life. Why they spent their whole life like a fragile?
Being a Mental health professional,while dealing with various people (friends and family) and clients one thing which I noticed in several years is that people who used to stuck in any bad experience of their life are the people who do not have any goal in their Life. As I already said above that without goal we are nothing.
A lot of people complaint that they are unable to get out of pain caused by tha failure of relationship, they are unable to get over by the memories associated to their good days or they always feels like they are fragile and good for nothing.
Now let's move towards the reason that what factors leads to such inability to move forward in life.
One of the biggest reason that people failed to move on in their life after any emotional turmoil or incident is that they never set a goal in their life. From childhood we used to listen one thing that to forget anything keep yourself busy. I think the answer of our all questions posses in this one line.
It's so obvious that when we do not have a goal in life ,no planning for future then definitely one will never be able to get out of any stressful event.
Usually people who do not have goal in their life always wants to be dependent on others in terms of both financially and emotionally. When a person doesn't possess goal in his/her life then his/her mind would become just like dustbin.
When a person doesn't have any career goals then most probably anyone can become hopeless and fragile after any traumatic event because when we do not have anything to focus then our mind would definitely revolved around unnecessary thoughts and past memories. When we lost the goal and purpose of our life is the point where the problems start. Different researchers also shows that people who stuck in their past or any Traumatic event are not usually career oriented or do not have any goal.
Now we can realize the importance of goal in our life that how our goal saves us from living life like a fragile and how it saves our lives from being destroyed. Goals make us productive and productivity always brings positivity and hope among people.
Here are some ways that how you can set and persuade your goals:
1. Dependency is not good:
Just keep remember that be yourself. Never dependent on anyone because dependency never satisfy a heart and soul and it will always makes you feels like you are not good enough and ultimately your self esteem will become low. So you have to set your goals and have to work on it to be successful in future.
2. Everything demand work:
As we know that our body and mind both requires activity and work in order to perform better. If we spent our whole day on bed then our body and mind soon stop working properly due to less work. When we have a goal in our life then there would be a balance in our life in terms of work and rest. Similarly,when we have work to done our mind will focus on that work instead of reminding unnecessary thoughts and memories.
Goal is such a life saver. Goals are powerful part of life which gives hope to our dreams.
We can help so many people emotionally by encouraging them to find a goal in life and work on it. Your goals posseses a powerful energy that can save you from so many stressful events and it could be your coping mechanism.
